Safe Space Lamp

Safe Light is a wooden lamp meant to help victims of sexual assault and their loved ones create the space they need to heal. I surveyed a few dozen people and compiled the phrases they thought to be the most supportive and reassuring. With it, I laser-cut the wood with meditative patterns. The lamp is built so the light source within it can be switched out easily. One is a color-changing bulb, and the other is a point-light system in which the words can be projected on the walls, embracing the user with loving sentiments.
